The EUROfusion Bernard Bigot Researcher Grants support the education and training of a new generation of fusion scientists in alignment with the European Research Roadmap to the Realisation of Fusion Energy. It is an honour to name these researcher grants after Dr Bernard Bigot, former Director-General of the ITER Organization from 2015-2022. Dr. Bigot was an inspirational leader and instrumental in shaping the ITER project where he promoted the one-project-one-team spirit and project culture throughout the ITER Organization and collaborating partners.
